2011 Pushcart Nominations
Tuesday, November 29, 2011 at 11:54AM Over this past year, we've had the privilege of publishing so much exciting work at The Collagist, an honor that made picking just six pieces to nominate for the Pushcart Prize very difficult. But after much deliberation, we decided on the following works, all of which have continued to thrill us throughout the year:
Fiction:
- "Where Everyone is a Star" by Ashley Farmer
- "Weimaraner" by Kate Lorenz
- "Hold Steady" by Sarah Norek
Non-Fiction:
Poetry:
- "Selah" by Eugenia Leigh
- "Heraclitus: 'We cannot know the water, but only its perpetual movement.'" by Gregory Pardlo
Congratulations to these six writers, and thanks so much to all of our other contributors who were part of our 2011 issues. It's truly an honor to get to publish such fine writers, and we couldn't be prouder of having you in our pages.
