NORMAN WAKSLER

Availability: 4 hours/month starting April 15th.

I’ve published fiction in Ascent, Kansas Quarterly, Greensboro Review, StoryQuarterly, Madison Review, Potpourri and other magazines, as well as in Best American Short Stories. (The first story I published was in a magazine called Samisdadt, in 1977, just to give an idea of how long I've been at this.) I was the recipient of a Massachusetts Cultural Council Fellowship in Fiction for 1998, and the winner of the Chaffin Award for Fiction in 2004. A collection of stories entitled The Book of Regrets was published by the Main Street Rag Press in 2005. A second collection, Signs of Life, is published by The Black Lawrence Press. I've also written novels, essays, and for a short time, a humorous (I thought so) column in a Cambridge, Mass. newspaper, but I don't consider any of those genres to be my metier.
