Mayo, C.M.
C.M. Mayo is the author of an historical novel, The Last Prince of the Mexican Empire (Unbridled Books, 2009); Miraculous Air: Journey of a Thousand Miles through Baja California, the Other Mexico (Milkweed Editions, 2007) and Sky Over El Nido (University of Georgia Press, 1995) which won the Flannery O'Connor Award for Short Fiction. An avid translator of Mexican literature, she is also founding editor of Tameme and editor of the widely-lauded anthology of Mexican writing, Mexico: A Traveler's Literary Companion. She leads writing workshops in Mexico City, San Miguel de Allende, and the Bethesda MD Writers Center. Her website is www.cmmayo.com.
