The Robing of the Bride is the winner of the 2012 Collagist Chapbook Contest. It tells of weddings. The wedding of girls in a garden, eating communion. The wedding of Sister Isabetta to Christ. Of the narrator to Lucia. The book tells also of clothing and the threads of friendship, of gardens and betrayal and escape.
ABOUT ADITI MACHADO
Aditi Machado’s work has appeared in The Iowa Review, The New England Review, High Chair, Better Magazine, and elsewhere. She is the Poetry Editor at Asymptote, the journal of translation. She earned her MFA from Washington University in St. Louis and is currently pursuing doctoral studies at the University of Denver. She grew up in Bangalore, India.
