  • Runs the Dzanc Writers-in-Residence Program, which places published authors in public schools to teach creative writing to elementary and secondary students

  • Conducts three annual Dzanc Prizes, which recognize innovative, risk-taking, and brilliant fiction in the novel and short story categories, as well as fiction or nonfiction through a third contest which varies annually

  • Organizes the Disquiet International Literary Program, a writing conference held in Lisbon, Portugal
