praise
"...examines the struggles of the human condition with sharp satire but also surprising vulnerability." (Jen Michalski, The Nervous Breakdown)
"It has stayed in my mind, which to me as an avid reader, means it is special." (Theresa Quinn, Amazon)
"The reader is carried along by a peculiar intelligence lurking inside the main character who seems to know he's making royal mistakes, but just has to keep on going. So does the reader." (Peter Wix, Amazon)
"This short collection of short stories from Dzanc Books was a pleasure to read. Surreal, a little lusty, with characters caught in the disillusionment of career artists, Henning Koch's debut book Love Doesn't Work evokes Eric-Emmanuel Schmitt, Kelly Link, or perhaps Haruki Murakami." (Matt Pine, Written in Chicago)
"Simply some of the best, clearest, most honest writing I've come across in a long time..." (Marcus Speh, Goodreads)
